Over the Gorge
The Arch Over the Gorge
Pont Adolphe spans the Pétrusse gorge at 42 metres. When it was completed in 1903, it was the largest stone arch in the world. This shot was taken at midday — the light coming flat off the stone, the green spire of the Caisse d'Épargne entering frame at the upper edge.
